Weekend Away 2025

Come along to our first River Church weekend away, for some un-rushed time together with God and as a church family.

The weekend will be full of worship, teaching, fun activities and lots of time to enjoy being family together. There will be meetings each day with worship and a talk, with 2 guest speakers coming along! There will also be plenty of time for hanging out, fire pits, prayer rooms, games, ping pong, walks and more.

FAQ’s

Prayer

There are going to be prayer stations dotted around site which will be accessible for all ages as well as prayer huddles before each meeting, be sure to check out them out. There will be opportunities for you to engage with the environment around you, spending time peacefully with God and praying together when we worship in our main meetings. We want to help you meet with God and believe this weekend will be a time of significance for you all, no matter how big or small you are.

Who will I share accommodation with?

Everyone will be staying in a chalet with a fully equipped kitchen (for your breakfasts or midnight feasts), a lounge area, a bathroom with a shower and 2 bedrooms. Everyone will be placed in rooms/chalets best suited to their circumstances, families with children will have their own chalets for.

Please come and have a chat if you have any concerns, we want everyone to have a great weekend and be comfortable.

What about serving?

We want to ensure everyone enjoys the weekend and so are asking for people to sign up and serve for a session, this could be helping in the kitchen for a meal, or helping out in a Kids work session, running a prayer walk, building the bonfire or a quiz! To facilitate this you will have the option to pick a serving team when you sign up.

Is there Kids work?

Kids work will be available for day time meetings, and some fun torch lit walks and film nights in the evenings for school age children.

There’s plenty of outside space to play, bring your wellies and splash suits! There is also a play park on site.

    LEAD PASTOR - REVELATION CHURCH

    Duncan and his wife Hannah planted Revelation Church 8 years ago with a small team. He is passionate about the bible and about people encountering God in powerful ways. He will be speaking at our Saturday evening and his whole family will be spending the weekend with us.

    Jason is a good friend of The River Church, he has helped disicple and grow some of our leaders and has spoken in our Sunday meetings. He is a man of great integrity, peace and authenticy. He has allowed God to shape him over many years of joy and pain and has much wisdom to bring.
